So You Think You Can Paint

So You Think You Can Paint!

Well Prove It!

The Butterfly Bisque Paint Your Own Pottery Studio is extending an invitation to all past and future painters to come in and show us your stuff.

You can participate in this national competition and represent our studio if your painted ceramic piece is selected.

If you are interested in entering this friendly competition, register at the studio, select a piece of bisque and paint it to the best of your ability. We will display all entries in the studio until February 21st. Any studio guest can vote for their favourite piece. Photos will also be posted on our website and Facebook Fan page.

The top 5 studio masterpieces will be entered into the national competition to win the grand prize of $50 and an in-store $20 gift certificate.

So put your game face on and get motivated!

The deadline for the competition is February 20th. Voting will take place until February 27th. We will be choosing the 5 favourite pieces to go to the national competition on February 28th.

From March 4th to the 14th, up to 55 Pieces from across Canada will be on display at www.chromacolour.com. One of these could be yours! The national voting will take place by sending an email with your favourite selection. Instructions will be on the website at the url above.

On March 15 at 12 noon, the national winner will be published on the ChromaColour website. Good Luck to Everyone!

Story Time Pottery

Butterfly Bisque Paint Your Own Pottery hosts a series of unique Story Time Hours for guests! EVERY Wednesday and Saturday at 10:30am we read a short children's book and paint a piece of pottery that relates to the story! A different story each week! Please email us at FireItUp@ButterflyBisque.ca or call 847-1846 to sign up. Capacity is limited. Price $7 and up.

It's a great, interactive way to get your children interested in reading early on. Any age child is welcome to participate as long as they are old enough to politely sit and listen to a short story. We also welcome older siblings if they would like to paint separately without joining Story Time at our regular painting rates.

All books for Story Time Pottery are purchased at:

How it Works

How it works

When you come to paint, we will give you some instructions, and let you paint your piece as you wish. We have lots of tools like stamps and stencils to help with design work, as well as more than 60 different colors of paint.

Once you are finished, we will glaze and fire the pieces and they will be ready in a week or 2 for you to pick up. Once fired, pottery is food safe and ready to be used!

Grown Up Parties

We love grown up parties at Butterfly Bisque. Schedule one for your office, church group, ladies night out, bridal shower, baby shower, book group, or birthday!

How does it work?

Each person in your group will choose from our entire selection of pottery. We will give you some brief instructions, and then you will paint away! When you are finished we will glaze and fire your pieces and they will be ready in a week or 2 for pick up.

Making Reservations

Reservations must be made at least 48 hours prior to your party. The earlier you make them, the better. Saturdays tend to fill up fast! We do require a $25.00 deposit at the time you make your reservation. This amount will be applied to your bill the day of the party. In the case of cancellation, the deposit is non-refundable.
